Privacy
The short version: there is nothing to collect, because the site was built without a place to put it. No account, no database, no login.
What stays on your device
Your list of cities is not stored on a server. It is encoded into the address bar, which is why you can bookmark it, reload it, or paste the link to someone else and have them see the same thing. The link never leaves your browser unless you choose to share it.
The only thing kept locally is your theme choice — whether you use Automatic mode to match day and night where you are, or pin the site to Light or Dark. That lives in your browser's localStorage and goes no further. Clearing your site data removes it.
Where the time data comes from
Offsets, daylight saving rules and your local zone are read from your own device through the browser's built-in internationalisation API. Nothing about your location is sent anywhere to work out the time.
Cookies and tracking
The site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or cross-site tracking. Like any website it is served by a host (Cloudflare) that keeps standard, aggregate request logs for security and reliability; those are not tied to an identity here.
Calendar and email handoffs
Downloading an .ics file stays local. If you open the Google Calendar or Outlook action, the prepared meeting title, times, participant summary and Hours Apart link are passed to that provider so it can create the event.
Contact and feedback
The contact page offers a hosted feedback form, which opens in a new tab ontally.so. No request reaches Tally unless you open that link, and anything you submit there is handled by Tally under their terms. Hours Apart itself has no form backend, no contact mailbox, and stores nothing you write.

If this ever changes — say a privacy-preserving, cookieless usage count is added — it will be described here first.
